Day 1 – 4
Spend the first four nights in Cape Town, with some time to settle in and visit the world famous attractions Cape Town has to offer. Clarendon Bay is a sophisticated and luxury guesthouse in Bantry Bay perched above the brilliant blue waters of the Atlantic offering a truly extraordinary experience. Your boutique guesthouse is the perfect base from which to unwind and explore this vibrant city.
Day 5 & 6
A short drive brings you to the lively university town of Stellenbosch, the second oldest town in South Africa. The scenic backdrop of the Groot Drakenstein Mountains and the mature oak trees that line the streets further enhances the architectural and historic attraction of the town. Spend the day wine tasting or exploring the dramatic mountain scenery before retiring to your boutique guesthouse, comprising of two historic houses and situated in the oak lined avenues, close to the heart of Stellenbosch.
Leaving the Wine lands behind you make your way to the heart of the Overberg – the picturesque farming town of Swellendam. Your base, Schoone Oordt, is a much photographed Victorian landmark that presides on over 5000m2 of lush grounds and incorporating eight magnificently crafted, luxurious suites and a private romantic hide away. Spend some time relaxing in this beautiful surrounds or explore this historic town.
Day 8 – 10
Continue your journey to the Garden Route, known for its spectacular variety and quality of scenery, vibrant holiday towns as well as peace and quiet. Phantom Forest is hidden away in a privately owned nature reserve on the outskirts of Knysna and boasts 14 eco-chic tree-suites, fine restaurants and a freshwater pool. Day 11 – 13
A morning flight (not included) will take you to Hoedspruit, one of the gateways to world famous Kruger National Park. Your lodge, Motswari, is set deep in the Timbavati private game reserve, a vast tract of 60,000 hectares of subtropical savanna situated on the unfenced western boundary of Kruger National Park. With a 30-year history as a safari lodge Motswari is one of the region’s oldest, and you can be assured of an authentic safari experience here - bush as far as the eye can see, great game viewing and simple luxuries that don’t intrude on your experience.
After a final early morning game drive make your way to Hoedspruit airport where you board your onward flight.
